The Assembly of God Church

Deaf Community Church, founded in 2025, carries forward the legacy of the Assembly of God congregation established in 1946 in Norwalk, Los Angeles County. Formerly known as Calvary Community Church, it served for decades as a General Council church under the SoCal Network.

Today, Deaf Community Church is a Parent Affiliated Church (PAC) under Vallejo Deaf Church within the Northern California-Nevada District, continuing its mission to serve the Deaf community with worship services in American Sign Language (ASL) supported by voice-over interpretation.

Over the years, the congregation has hosted major gatherings such as the California Deaf State Rally, men’s and women’s conferences, Deaf Sport Day, annual fireworks sales, and a screening of the Deaf Missions film Jesus. Under its new name and affiliation, Deaf Community Church remains committed to fostering faith, fellowship, and cultural identity within the Deaf community while partnering closely with Vallejo Deaf Church

The church holds regular worship services every Sunday, beginning with fellowship at 4:00 PM, followed by the main service at 4:30 PM.

Our Senior Pastor is Olivia Bibb. She is from Vallejo Deaf Church, located in Vallejo, California.

Our Junior pastor is Shivanthi “Shiv” Sivapalan. She is from Under His Wings, a Deaf church. in San Dimas, California.

Tech Team

Scott, Deveruan and Moises are on the tech team, working on slideshow and livestreaming. The team set out the equipment necessary for successful service.

Scott also maintains the web site. He is known as Mr. Fix It.
